A10-7800 vs Ryzen 7 5700X comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 5700X beats the A10-7800 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7800 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 5700X has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the A10-7800 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A10-7800. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-7800 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 5700X. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 5700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-7800 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
