A10-7300 vs Core 2 Duo E7400 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-7300 is faster than the Core 2 Duo E7400. Despite this, the Core 2 Duo E7400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the A10-7300 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the Core 2 Duo E7400 that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Core 2 Duo E7400. With our hardware info, we find that the Core 2 Duo E7400 has a significantly higher clock speed than the A10-7300. A A10-7300 CPU outputs less heat than a Core 2 Duo E7400 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the A10-7300 has slightly more L2 cache than the Core 2 Duo E7400
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A10-7300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
