A10-7300 vs A8-5550M specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-5550M is faster than the A10-7300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-7300 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A8-5550M has a slightly higher clock speed than the A10-7300. A A10-7300 CPU outputs less heat than a A8-5550M CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A10-7300 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
