A10-6800K vs Xeon X5570 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X5570 performs better than the A10-6800K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6800K in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X5570 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A10-6800K that has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A10-6800K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5570. Also, the A10-6800K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon X5570 outputs less heat than A10-6800K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A10-6800K has more L2 cache than the Xeon X5570

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-6800K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
