A10-6800K vs Xeon X3440 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X3440 performs better than the A10-6800K. Despite this, the A10-6800K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X3440 has significantly more cores with 4 cores compared to the A10-6800K that has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A10-6800K. Our comparison shows that the A10-6800K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon X3440. Also, the A10-6800K has a significantly higher turbo speed. The Xeon X3440 outputs less heat than A10-6800K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the A10-6800K has more L2 cache than the Xeon X3440

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-6800K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
