A10-6800K vs Xeon E5-2687W specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-2687W beats the A10-6800K in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6800K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2687W has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the A10-6800K has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the A10-6800K. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-6800K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2687W. Also, the A10-6800K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A A10-6800K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2687W CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A10-6800K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Xeon E5-2687W
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-6800K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
