A10-6800K vs Core i7-860 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the A10-6800K beats the Core i7-860 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-860 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-860 has significantly more cores than the A10-6800K. Indeed, the Core i7-860 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A10-6800K. It also has more threads than the A10-6800K. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-6800K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-860. Also, the A10-6800K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-860 outputs less heat than A10-6800K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A10-6800K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
