A10-6800K vs Athlon X4 950 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Athlon X4 950 is faster than the A10-6800K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6800K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Athlon X4 950 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the A10-6800K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the A10-6800K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Athlon X4 950. Also, the A10-6800K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Athlon X4 950 outputs less heat than A10-6800K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A10-6800K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Athlon X4 950
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the A10-6800K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
