A10-6700 vs Athlon X4 860K specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Athlon X4 860K performs better than the A10-6700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6700 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the A10-6700 has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Athlon X4 860K has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. According to our data, the A10-6700 and Athlon X4 860K have the same clock speed. A A10-6700 CPU outputs less heat than a Athlon X4 860K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A10-6700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
