A10-6700 vs A8-6500 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-6700 is faster than the A8-6500. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A8-6500 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A10-6700 has significantly more cores than the A8-6500. Indeed, the A10-6700 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A8-6500. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the A10-6700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A8-6500. Also, the A10-6700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the A10-6700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
