A10-6700 vs A10-7800 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A10-7800 is faster than the A10-6700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the A10-6700 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the A10-6700 has significantly more cores than the A10-7800. Indeed, the A10-6700 has 4 cores compared to 2 cores found in the A10-7800. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the A10-6700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the A10-7800. Also, the A10-6700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the A10-6700 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
