Ryzen 5 4500U vs Xeon E-2274G comparison

In our benchmarks, the Xeon E-2274G beats the Ryzen 5 4500U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4500U in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Xeon E-2274G that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E-2274G has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4500U. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E-2274G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E-2274G CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
