FX-4170 vs Celeron G5900 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-4170 performs better than the Celeron G5900. Despite this, the Celeron G5900 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the FX-4170 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-4170 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Celeron G5900. The Celeron G5900 outputs less heat than FX-4170 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the FX-4170 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Celeron G5900.
