FX-4150 vs Xeon E3-1265L benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the FX-4150 performs better than the Xeon E3-1265L. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E3-1265L in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Xeon E3-1265L has more threads. The Xeon E3-1265L outputs less heat than FX-4150 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the FX-4150 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
