Core i5-7600 vs Xeon E-2124 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E-2124 is faster than the Core i5-7600. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-7600 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-7600 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E-2124. Despite this, the Xeon E-2124 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-7600 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E-2124 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Xeon E-2124 also has slightly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-7600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
