Core i5-7300HQ vs Core i7-7560U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-7560U is faster than the Core i5-7300HQ. Despite this, the Core i5-7300HQ has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-7300HQ has significantly more cores with 4 cores whereas the Core i7-7560U has 2 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-7300HQ has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-7560U. Despite this, the Core i7-7560U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-7560U outputs less heat than Core i5-7300HQ thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking.
