A8-7650K vs Pentium G4500 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the A8-7650K is faster than the Pentium G4500. Despite this, the Pentium G4500 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the A8-7650K has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Pentium G4500 has a slightly higher clock speed than the A8-7650K. The Pentium G4500 outputs less heat than A8-7650K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the A8-7650K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Pentium G4500

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the A8-7650K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
